Z-D250CWA Dual Wall Mount DSL Filters

Description:
The Z-D250CWA is a compact, dual-line, wall-mount customer premises equipment (CPE) DSL filter designed to expedite the service delivery and improve the performance of digital subscriber line (DSL) and home phoneline network (HPN) services over plain old telephone service (POTS). The Z-D250CWA filters all telephones, facsimile (fax) machines, answering machines, and other telephone equipment. Its filter design electronically isolates the high-speed DSL and HPN data streams from the voice-band POTS to provide premium voice quality and optimal DSL and HPN data rates.

The Z-D250CWA DSL filters both line 1 and line 2 at a two-line wall jack to reduce crosstalk and interference that can occur between lines. The DSL filter also provides a convenience jack for DSL or HPN connections. The wall-mount DSL filter allows two-line filtering of both the wall phone and a second phone device, such as an answering or fax machine.

We are a distributor of broadband DSL filters and splitters from the innovators and leaders in broadband technology - Bourns, Pulse/Excelsus, Tii Network Technologies, 2Wire and Wilcom. Separating the DSL signal from the telephone service requires either a splitter in or near the NID or DSL filter at each device. DSL filters (micro-filters) are available for one and two line POTS/telephone installations. For DSL splitters please visit: DSL/ADSL/VDSL splitters

DSL filters - What are they ? Why you may need one (or more) ?

DSL filters, also known as a micro-filters, is a small in-line device sometimes required in DSL installations. It filters line interference to standard telephone phone equipment when the equipment lines share the same line as the DSL service. DSL stands for Digital Subscriber Line, an always-on Internet service provided through in-place telephone lines. The ISP providing DSL service uses these standard telephone lines to provide a high-bandwidth channel that can deliver downstream speeds up to 3mbps. A special DSL modem is required and DSL filters may also be required, depending on the installation method

Without DSL filters, signals or echoes from analog/telephone devices at the top of their frequency range can result in reduced performance and connection problems with DSL service. While those from the DSL service at the bottom of its range can result in line noise (poor voice quality, actual audio noise, and functional problems) for analog/telephone devices.

NOTE:
If DSL filters are used instead of a splitter, a maximum of five phone devices with filters can be used before they begin to excessively degrade the DSL signal.
